Clothing
Here are some of my thoughts about my most used outdoors clothing, including Paramo Alta III raincoat, Paramo Cascada rain trousers, Crispi hiking boots, down jackets and ski gear.

Tech
Despite being an electronics engineer, I use very little tech when outdoors, but I do use a few key items: my camera, an InReach GPS + satellite communicator, a basic mobile (which holds charge for a week), and of course a head torch and compass.

Skis
My off-track skis (BC skis/fjellski) are Åsnes Amundsen skis, which I have been very happy with.
I use Atomic SkinTech skis for track skiing, but it is skiing away from the tracks that excites me the most.

For overnight ski trips I use a Paris Expedition Pulk (sled), with a homemade rope drag to transport my gear. The pulk combined with a Piteraq gear bag in the pulk and a Piteraq top bag for my sleeping bag and tent, strapped on by bungees, makes a gear transport system.
Bikes
My main bike is a Ridgeback World Voyage which I got back in 2009, and it has many thousands of miles on the clock, and virtually no original moving parts. I would not dream of swapping this bike, but if I had to, the only upgrade I would want would be swapping to disk breaks.
For winter riding in Trondheim I used a basic fat bike for a few years, until it got stolen, and recently replaced it with a Specialised Fuse Comp 6Fattie, which I look forward to taking out on forrest trails once the snow has melted.
