Open crossings and Jellyfish in Trondheimsfjord

  • 03-04/08/19

I took my parents kayaking on Trondheimsfjord, from Trondheim to Tautra and back.  The long open crossings took us through jellyfish-soup, and we enjoyed stunningly calm seas, even when we were over 5 km from the nearest land.

On Tautra we enjoyed dinner at Tautra Klostergård, and camped at a semi-official campsite (100 NOK per tent, with access to the jetty's toilets).  We also enjoyed a wander round the island's golden fields and to a bird watching tower in the glorious evening sun.

Some of what I get up to outdoors

I'm from Scotland but currently live in Trondheim.  Most of my free time goes to the outdoor activities shown here, but away from this I am an electronics engineer and also like playing music in my spare time.
