Gudå - Meråker hike

A nice weekend hiking and camping with friends from Gudå train station to Meråker station, via Røsshaugen and Fonnfjellet.

A quick train journey from Trondheim took us to tiny Gudå train station, and we enjoyed a hike with stunning views over the hills and back to Meråker the next day, with a frosty night by Røsshaugtjønna. We had a couple of heavy rain showers (and one that missed us by about 50 m when we were up Røsshaugen), but otherwise lovely weather, with stunning views over Sylan (where we had all been skiing at Easter), Trondheimsfjord and Trollheimen.

In Meråker we had time before the train, so found a couple of tubs of Ben & Jerry's to guzzle before walking up to the train station for the train home.
